    Description
    Here's another auction by
    Lone Star Trains and Collectibles,
    Your
    Classic Era Train Headquarters!
KEEP SCROLLING ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM FOR ADDITIONAL PICTURES
You are bidding on an interesting American Flyer set of three passenger cars from 1954. These cars are tough to find individually, but how nice to have them all together, all in a set in similar condition.
With three exact age-appropriate blue and yellow reproduction boxes.
This is one of those passenger car sets that has the WOW factor. Who doesn't ooh and ahh over
    the 54 brown stripes
? If you are a toy collector or an American Flyer collector, you really need to have these.
This specific assortment of chestnut striped cars came with a 303 Atlantic steam engine for the K5418T Black Diamond Passenger set. Add the engine, and you have a set!
However, they would also look great with your Silver Flash PA PB diesel set (K5469WT)
, although that set had a coach instead of a vista dome (and the 5418 one has a vista dome instead of a coach).
Please take the time to read the whole description below before bidding. We also posted extra pictures in the item description section down below everything, so keep scrolling until the pictures stop. We took time in writing it for you. We look forward to any questions--we answer all emails.
Set includes these three cars with silhouettes and lighting:
    960 Columbus Combination car baggage/coach
    962 Hamilton Vista Dome
    963 Washington Observation
Here is a detailed breakdown of each item for your consideration:
    960 COLUMBUS Combine coach/baggage
C6. This one is clean. Has some small nicks and some noticeable scratches in the roof. Pictures show them. There ARE rubs and scratches here and there. The printing on the nameplates is good but does show some scratches and wear. Clean bottom and trucks. Strong brown stripe. There is a scratch that goes into the brown stripe towards the end on one side. Metal name plate has scratches. With silhouette, lighted.
    962 Hamilton Vista Dome
C6. This car is clean, but the nameplate has some of the lettering rubbed and scratched. The printed lettering over the windows shows some handling wear, especially on one side. There are some scratches and paint rubs in the brown striping. Nameplates have some scratches. If you look closely, you will see some very small scratches here and there. There are a few light scratches in the roof. One scratch looks like a crack; however, the "crack" must be on the inside of the plastic or underneath. When you run your finger over the top outside of the dome, you can't feel it, but you can see it. Clean trucks and bottom. With silhouettes and lighting.
    THE 963 WASHINGTON OBSERVATION
C6. The car is nice. Some stray rubs here and there, but they do not deter from the look.  The brown stripe looks great. The rear smooth piece is really nice (these are usually beat up). In the picture, you can see some silver-wear from handling, but it is not really noticeable to the naked eye--only with a close up flash picture. Metal antenna on top of car is nice and does have a little oxidation. There is some wear--light scratches and handling wear in the printed "American Flyer Lines". The plates have light scratches but look nice. If you look super closely, you can see the silver on the car shows wear in some places (perhaps this silver plastic car was painted satin silver and this is from handling). Clean trucks and bottom, with lights and silhouettes.
NOTE: These cars are all nice and feature:
    Operating knuckle couplers
    Silver truck sides
    Silhouettes
    Lighting
    An age appropriate repro box
