Product Description: Organic pads:
Organic pads are made with organic carbon fibers bonded together using resin. Organic brake pads work the best in dry conditions and in conditions where the discs do not get too hot. Organic pads offer better initial grab that tends to fade during long descents. Not recommended for descents or other conditions where heavy, continuous braking can generate too much heat. Also not recommended for wet or muddy conditions.
Less Noisy:
Organic pads are softer and much quieter than sintered and semi-metallic pads making them great for city rides. They are gentler on brake discs and offer the benefit of less rotor wear compared to sintered counterparts. Organic brake pads have shorter break-in period and perform great in cold weather. Organic brake pads are a great choice when braking requirement is minimal, like cross country, commuting, and flat terrain rides. Recommended for casual riders & light weight riders.
Semi-metallic:
Semi-metallic brake pads are the preferred choice of mountain bike riders due to their higher braking performance than sintered pads. Ideal for medium hills, amateur riders, fast rides, shorter downhill segments, and hard brakes that require high braking power without getting too heated up. Semi-metallic brake pads are best suited for urban rides, dirt, XC, marathons, E-bikes, trail and light enduro, where bikers are not holding their brakes for too long.
All-Weather Performance & High-Temperature Resistance:
Semi metallic pads have more metal content and hence better heat tolerance compared to organic brake pads. However, they tend to wear more at high temperatures compared to sintered pads. Metallic construction with Kevlar additive makes these pads longer lasting than organic pads. Special iron and copper compound formulation gives better resistance to heat than organic pads. You will enjoy quieter rides and less rotor wear compared to sintered counterparts.
Sintered brake:
With sintered pads, bikers can enjoy ultimate braking stability while conquering aggressive trails, wet, muddy trails or dry, desert sands. Extremely rugged construction can withstand high-temperature build-up from constant slamming of brakes. The iron & copper fortified pads have the highest metallic content among peers, which ensures resistance to temperatures as high as 850° - 900°, a far cry from semi-metallic counterparts. Race Approved, Long lasting: Sintered brake pads are specifically built to withstand the grind of continuous braking in racetracks. Heavy-duty braking power is perfect for extreme racing or downhill racing. Sintered pads offer unfailing braking power that adventure riders can count on. This unique hard compound construction significantly slows down the wear and the pads last longer under extreme riding conditions. Sintered pads are however more squeakier than semi-metallic and organic pads.
